wisdom from an elder*

I miss you. You would have turned 103 on february the 20. You used to sew, you didn't learn it to me, but I'm sure you gave me the sewing passion. It is in my DNA. I wish you knew my kids, I hope you'd be proud of them, of us. I remember laughing, cooking, listening to music with you and speaking in the darkness of the night before falling asleep just like teenagers. I'll never forget your blue eyes, your tenderness for my brother and I. My lovely grand-mother. I wish you were here...

For being an elder, I'm on my way ;)

What a tender corner view, and such a sweet faced picture of your grandmother! She seems to have left a lot of good memories behind her. Am sure she is happy knowing your putting that gifted sewing DNA to good use!
